Check out the ZANDA PANDA website for full instructions on How to make a Star Wars Tusken Raider (Sand People) Mask for $4.00.

I thought I should include it here since I used a Unicorn Mold in the process  🙂

It was quick, cheap and really fun to make.  You’ll only need burlap, a bit of paint and some cardboard (but you don’t really need a Unicorn Mold to make one).  Two straws and some aluminum foil will make it even more fun.

This is what I was aiming for:

Molly’s Fabulous Fudge – And Another Puppy

My friend Molly McG gave me her fantastic fudge recipe for the Puppy Mold packaging.  Here it is and here’s a puppy made of it!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Fudge Puppy

Molly’s Fabulous Fudge
My friend Molly’s fantastic fudge recipe!

◊   3 cups sugar
◊   3/4 cup butter
◊   2/3 cup evaporated milk
◊   2/3 cup cocoa
◊   4 tablespoons peanut butter
◊   1 (7oz) jar marshmallow cream
◊   1 teaspoon vanilla

In a medium saucepan with a heavy bottom, combine sugar, butter, cocoa, and milk.  Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.

Continue to boil, stirring for 5 minutes over medium heat.

Remove from heat.

Add peanut butter, stir until peanut butter melts.

Add marshmallow cream and vanilla.  Stir until blended.

Pour into your Puppy Mold.  Chill in fridge.

When completely cooled and firm, place plate over mold, flip plate and mold over together and gently demold.

Store in refrigerator.

I should add that, because it’s thick, try to pour into one spot on the mold and let it ooze into the design, so that you’ll trap as few air bubbles as possible.

The fudge picks up details perfectly and drops right out of the mold.

The Puppy looks adorable as is, or you could dress him up with a fondant bow, a candy-studded collar or make some toys for him.

I’ll have images of the packaging design very soon!

Polymer Clay Jewelry

Heart and Butterfly Polymer Clay Pins made with Zanda Panda Kaleidoscope Collection Molds

Craft Demo: Polymer Clay Jewelry. Heart and Butterfly Polymer Clay Pins made with Zanda Panda Specialty Bakeware's Kaleidoscope Collection Molds

There’s a new demo up on making Polymer Clay Jewelry.  The demo is on making butterfly and heart-shaped pins from Zanda Panda’s  Kaleidoscope Collection molds.  The same method used in the demo to create polymer clay pins can be used for pendants and appliqués for trinket boxes, hair ornaments, refrigerator magnets, handmade soap , cast paper and other crafts.

Actually, to make cookies or chocolate, confectionary coating or edible clay appliqués to embellish cakes, cupcakes, etc., you pretty much use the same method, just the material differs.  Everything’s easy with Zanda Panda 🙂
